A History of Fox Corner, Pirbright

Fox Corner

In earlier times, Fox Corner itself was one part of a junction between 2 main roads: 

 

• The north-south Guildford - Bagshot road

• The northeast-southwest Ash - (Old) Woking road

​

At this junction, there are two lanes that branch from the corner itself and lead across heaths towards Pirbright:  Malthouse Lane and Heath Mill Lane. 

 

This section covers these two lanes.  There is a separate page devoted to one of the oldest properties in the district:  Heath Mill (and the adjoining buildings).
