The Farms and Commons
This page deals only with the farms and commons lying in Pirbright. Those lying in Worplesdon have been discussed on our sister site, rickfordhistory.com. Those lying in Woking have been covered in the section dealing with Woking.
Let's now look specifically at Pirbright farms. In olden times (by that we mean the 1600’s) Pirbright was very much an agricultural community. In the Fox Corner area (as defined by this site) there were 7 farms:

Of these only the first 5 survive today. The other 2, Pullens and Tods, have been demolished and replaced by bigger structures. Each of these farms is covered in this website in some detail. We have shown the relevant page in the table below.
